MONTICELLO -- After being for sale for 10 months, a building could soon be sold. The County Annex has been empty for months with no interested buyers.

In the past few weeks, the Piatt County Board has gotten four bids. Members say it's because word spread about it's possible demolition. Now the board just hopes they can bring the building back to life.

"Well, every community hates to have empty buildings. It's very important for the city to have it thrive. But this being a county building, we have to think of the income for the county," board member Dick Willkin said.

The county board will discuss the issue at a meeting in a few weeks. Members say they have no preference. The building will go to the highest bidder.
