CHAMPAIGN -- Small businesses react to possibility of another hike to minimum wage. During the State of the State, Governor Quinn also talked about raising the minimum wage.

It's currently $8.50 an hour and he wants to raise it to $10 over 4 years. The news is fine with restaurant owner, Thad Morrow.

"You are giving people the opportunity to move up in their job and they are spending more money in the economy," says Morrow, who owns Bacaro Restaurant.

Morrow says a gradual increase would be best so small businesses can plan for it.
