DANVILLE -- People are sick of the violence. Police say a man died after a shooting in the 900-block of Lewis Lane.

The 24-year old was found lying on the ground. His name isn't being released, but he was known as Dre in the neighborhood.

Wednesday night, people held a vigil. Dozens came out to remember his life and send the message that the violence has to stop.

An autopsy is scheduled for Thursday morning. Police say the shooter is still on the loose.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers. You can remain anonymous and may earn a cash reward.
