SPRINGFIELD -- Governor Quinn's annual State of the State address forecast a difficult journey to get Illinois back on its feet. This year's theme played on the idea of "Our Illinois."

Quinn used the phrase to develop a sense of community throughout. He used most of the speech to highlight what Illinois has done well over the past year.

As far as the future, he says he wants to see minimum wage increased to $10 an hour. Quinn says the extra funds would help bring people in our state out of poverty.

The speech also hit on the state's biggest issue: pensions. But lawmakers criticize he skirted the issue too much.
