URBANA -- A man wanted on a $10 million bond has turned himself into the custody of the Champaign County Sheriff's Office. Tuesday, 23-year old Ardis Fenn was to be tried on charges of aggravated battery for a shooting in June. Monday night, a key witness in that trial was shot and killed. Then, Fenn failed to show up for court.

The family of 29-year old Curtis Mosley says Fenn broke down their door and shot Mosley to death. They also say he was contacted an hour before being gunned down by Jakeem Nelson who allegedly offered money to keep Mosley from testifying.

Prosecutors presented evidence in a hearing Wednesday arguing Mosley's statements to police should be allowed into Fenn's trial for the June shooting. Judge Tom Difanis ruled Mosley's statements could be used as evidence. That trial is scheduled to resume Thursday.
