Gay marriage gets green light

SPRINGFIELD -- A group of senators okay'ed a bill to let same-sex couples get married. Now it has the green light to head to the full senate for a vote.

Supporters say, even though it's just a small step forward, they couldn't be happier and are confident the momentum won't stop here. Governor Quinn has already said he supports same-sex marriage. He says it will help attract more people and business to the state.
