New police station in works

DECATUR -- City leaders are moving forward with plans for a new police station. City council members gate the go-ahead Monday night for an architect to help with renovations.

They hope to lease a building on South Side Drive which used to be an auto parts store. The project will cost $280,000 and is expected to be ready by early 2014.
