DIXON -- A northern Illinois city is suing an accounting firm for failing to spot fraud. Crain's Chicago Business reports Dixon city officials are filing that suit.

The former city comptroller embezzled more than $50 million over 20-years. The lawsuit claims the firm audited Dixon's books and prepared Rita Crundwell's tax returns and never spotted the fraud.
