SPRINGFIELD -- In just two days, Governor Quinn will give one of his biggest speeches of the year. So how are lawmakers feeling about it?

Some are optimistic, while others are more skeptical. Most agreed they want to hear about reform, especially when it comes to the pension crisis. The problem is costing the state about $17 million a day.

Republicans, democrats, and unions have been divided on what to do with the systems. Representative Ramon Poe says they need to find a way to work together and hopes Governor Quinn will offer some direction.

As far as other issues he hopes to hear about, he says he'd like Quinn to address unpaid bills and the future of the state's economy. Two things that affect the budget.

The governor will speak at noon Wednesday in the House chamber. Tune in to WCIA-3 for live team coverage.
