NORMAL -- A man may be declared innocent after spending more than 13-years in prison. Alan Beaman was convicted of killing an Illinois State student in 1993.

He was serving a 50-year sentence when the Illinois Supreme Court reversed his conviction. He's asking the court for a finding of innocence.

A tentative trial date is set for August in Champaign County Circuit Court.
