Police use twitter to increase communication

CHAMPAIGN -- Police turn to twitter to keep you informed. Friday was their first ever tweet-a-long.
Lieutenant Clark spent the night riding along with officers and updating his twitter account. He would tweet about different calls. They were sent out throughout the night.
It's a part of the department's goal to increase communication with the community. One of the ways they are trying to do that is with social media.
