Cold comes in when heater breaks

DECATUR -- A lot of us ran, not walked, into work today because of the cold weather. But, what if you saw this sign on the front door of your workplace? Employees at Tate and Lyle did.

A minor mechanical problem kicked off heat for the whole building. Not a very good problem to have on a day like Friday. Employees kept coats and gloves on while working during the day.

Tate and Lyle management says some brought in space heaters for their offices, others moved to warmer parts of the building. Some even went home for the day.

They hope to have the problem fixed by Monday. No one wanted to go on camera, but some employees posted the problem on Facebook and mentioned they all got free coffee for the day.
