DWIGHT -- A watchdog group is calling on Governor Quinn to keep a prison open. The John Howard Institute sent a letter to the governor this week.

It says closing the prison would be harmful to female inmates. It's the only maximum security facility for women. Correctional officers are trained to deal with specific problems female inmates can have.

Quinn says he has no choice but to close the prison. He says there's not enough money in the budget to keep it open.
