Students compete in "Hack-a-thon"
Updated: January 31, 2013
The students will be programming code on computers to try to solve a problem. It's an open-ended event, so they can create a solution to whatever they want. Then they'll present their ideas and compete for prizes.
One student explains, it's like what some UI alumni did when they created the website "Yelp." Students can work alone or in teams. It starts at 11 pm Friday goes until 11 am Sunday. The top prize is $10,000.
