COLLINSVILLE -- An Illinois State Trooper made a huge discovery during a traffic stop this weekend. He pulled over 57-year old Carole Galvez on I-55.

The officer grew suspicious while talking with Galvez and asked to search her vehicle. She consented and the trooper found 27 sealed, plastic bags containing more than $1.5 million.

ISP say it's the largest cash seizure it's made in years. Galvez was arrested on charges of money laundering. She's being held on $500,000 bond.
