CHAMPAIGN COUNTY- It's time for the super bowl rush to start.
People are expected to eat more than a billion wings and drink millions of cases of beer this weekend.

At County Market, you can hear the sweet sound of sales, as cashiers ring up groceries.

"We sell a ton of product the three days before game time. Now, obviously we have it every year, we're counting on it to be honest with you," says Store Director, Mike Miskimins.

People like Connie Hubert from Urbana are getting ready to throw a big game bash.

"We have little hot dogs, we have the meatballs, and there's going to be some chicken fingers and a lot of people are making chilli. This is my favorite time of year," she says.

Miskimins says the big game beats out a lot of holidays in terms of sales.

"It's a great day for us, it's actually the second ranked food holiday behind Thanksgiving, actually a lot of years it takes out Christmas."

It's also a huge day for the pizza, beer, and chicken wing industry.
The National Chicken Council says Americans will eat 1.23 billion chicken wings this weekend.

Buffalo Wild Wings is a popular place to get them.

"We typically see 100% increase in sales that day from a typical Sunday. We'll probably order an extra 40-50 cases that week alone," says Tony Moenck, the manager at Buffalo Wild Wings in Savoy.

Those extra cases mean they'll be serving up about 20,000 extra wings.
Add to that the five extra kegs the restaurant is planning to go through, and that equals one big payoff for the restaurant from the big game.
