Mental health advocates seeking more funds

SPRINGFIELD -- Lawmakers are back at the Capitol and so are advocates for Mental Health services. They hope to get $12 million restored to the Department of Mental Health.
National Alliance for Mental Illness (NAMI) says it's harder to offer services without it. The director says thousands are going untreated and many programs are forced to make cuts.
Advocates also plan to ask for more money in next year's budget. Quinn's office says more money will be available for other services once the pension crisis is under control.
