Former Gov. George Ryan is out of prison and at his home in Kankakee where he'll serve out the rest of his sentence.

Ryan left the federal prison in Terre Haute, IN early this morning.
He arrived at a halfway house in Chicago around 6:45 a.m. before making his way to his home in Kankakee.
He'll serve out the final six months of his sentence under home confinement.

Former Gov. Jim Thompson, who represents Ryan, says Ryan is at his home spending time with his family.

Comments

He is no better than anyone else that was convicted of a crime, he should have to serve his full sentence in jail...not in a social club..
