State of the State: Homeless Population

CHAMPAIGN -- During the winter months, we're reminded not everyone has a warm place to stay. In this week's State of the State report, we take a look at the homeless population in Illinois. The National Coalition for the Homeless says Illinois ranks 39th in the nation for the number of homeless people in the state.

But there is a way to help raise awareness and funds locally. "C-U at Home" is hosting the second annual "One Winter Night" event. It's taking place Friday, February 1st in two different locations. The event details can be found on the website here.
