DANVILLE -- Winter may be ending sooner than expected. The groundhog at the Provena Cancer Center came out of hibernation Monday. Staff members and patients say they were shocked when they spotted the animal.

The center has a wildlife area featuring deer, birds and wild turkeys. It was created to give patients a break from treatments.
