Surveillance pictures show suspect with stolen debit card

UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS -- Police are investigating a stolen wallet. It happened between November 4 - 6, at an unknown location.

The victim told police he didn't know his wallet had been taken from his backpack until going over his bank statement and finding unauthorized charges to his account. Several ID's including bank cards were taken, as well as cash.

Police found surveillance images of a suspect believed to be in possession of the victim's stolen debit card at Panera Bread Company on campus. The suspect is described as an Asian male, 18 - 23 years old, 5'5" - 5'8", 140 - 160 lbs. He has medium-length, black hair and was wearing a gray-hooded sweatshirt with a green-and-white design on the front, dark jeans and white tennis shoes. He was also carrying a maroon-colored backpack.
