SPRINGFIELD -- With tax season kicking off, the state is reminding working families about the Earned Income Tax Credit. It helps them keep more of what they earn.

Governor Quinn is urging those who qualify to apply. He says it's important they be able to keep that extra money.

He says it's also a good way to stimulate the economy. Thanks to a new state law signed last year, the credit will double over the next two years.
