Learning about large animal emergencies

URBANA -- Vet students and first responders are training for more than rescuing cats in trees. For the first time, dozens of Central Illinois first responders and veterinary students learned what to do in large animal emergencies.
Professionals from Technical Large Animal Emergency Rescue hosted the 2-day workshop. There weren't any live animals at the demonstration, but demonstrations showed how ropes, stabilizers and chainsaws work in rescues.
