SPRINGFIELD -- Lesson plans are about to change in elementary schools. Governor Quinn signed a new law Thursday requiring schools teach sexual abuse education.

The new measure will give children a foundation and voice to speak out on sexual abuse. The curriculum is already required in middle and high schools.

There's no set curriculum for the new program. Each district will have the freedom to teach the course in the manner they'd like, but the lesson plans must be age-appropriate.
