EFFINGHAM -- Investigators identified a man who died in a fiery car crash Sunday morning. It happened on North Blue Point Trail. The county coroner said 35-year-old Joseph Wirth crashed around 1 am.

Authorities said the car went off the road and hit a tree before catching fire. A passing driver saw the car about eight hours later. Preliminary autopsy reports show Wirth died of injuries in that crash.
