CHAMPAIGN -- We'll soon learn the fate of a video game developer up for sale. Volition has been on the auction block for a few weeks. Its parent company, THQ, filed for bankruptcy last month.

Bids were due Tuesday. The Clearlake Capital Group has shown interest in buying THQ as a whole, but high bids for each asset could break the company apart.

A hearing on the sale takes place Wednesday. Volition employs about 200 people.
