Driver accused of hitting parking officer

URBANA -- A man faces charges of aggravated battery after allegedly hitting a parking officer with his car. 54-year old Steven Takaki was arrested this weekend.
Police say he was leaving to avoid getting a parking ticket when he hit the officer in the leg and another car parked behind him. He was taken into custody after parking in the Krannert Center garage nearby.
