Lawmakers look at loan

SPRINGFIELD -- State lawmakers may take out a loan to pay off old bills. Reports show democrats are looking at the idea.

They'd like to take out a short-term loan for up to $4 billion. Comptroller Judy Baar Topinka does not support the idea, saying you shouldn't borrow to pay off any debt.
