DANVILLE -- A gunman who's been on the run for several weeks has been caught. Police say 18-year-old Antwanne Hall was involved in several shootings.

Sunday, he was taken into custody after being shot. Police found him in the 1600-block of Beechwood. He was taken to the hospital. Hall was treated and released, then arrested.

He'd been sought nearly a month. Hall's alleged shooting spree left one victim in the hospital Thursday. We spoke with the victim's uncle who got the call.

"An ambulance passed the bus stop and I said, 'somebody must've gotten shot.'"

The sound of sirens is familiar to Larry, but he never thought they'd be rushing to help his nephew.

"I thank God right now he's okay because the bullet came over a little more he would've been dead."

His 18-year-old nephew was shot in his shoulder. Police say Antwanne Hall pulled the trigger.

"It's getting dangerous around here, too scary."

Larry's friend, Heath Mayfield, was home with his four kids when it happened.

"Me and my family, when we heard the shots, we hit the floor." Mayfield said.

Police say it wasn't the first time Hall was involved in a shooting. In December, they say he shot a 23-year-old man in Fair Oaks.

"The bullet could easily pierce through these houses."

"Bullets don't have no eyes. Right now they're shooting at any and everybody."

Larry and Mayfield have lived in Danville almost their whole lives. But now they say their hometown is unrecognizable.

"Now it's scary just to go to the store at night. I just wish we could just come together."

Hall is behind bars, but these two say the gun shots aren't stopping.

"Stop the violence. It's not worth it."

"We just only get one life. That's it."
