Missing Teenager

Updated: January 21, 2013
TUSCOLA -- The Douglas County Sheriff's Office is seeking information regarding the whereabouts of Michaela Scott.

This 17-year-old teenager left her home in Gilbert, Arizona on Wednesday after taking her parents car, a silver colored 2010 Toyota Scion bearing Arizona license plate AZA6431. This car was located Thursday, January 17th, at approximately 4:30 p.m., parked on a rural road surrounded by farm fields at 1075 N. CR 1100 E., Tuscola, Illinois.

The key was discovered in the ignition and the motor was running. Michaela was not observed in the car nor in the surrounding area. Although Michaela had previously attended school in Tuscola, a canvas of her friends has not helped locate Michaela.

Anyone having seen Michaela, or having information regarding her whereabouts, is encouraged to contact the Douglas County Sheriff's Office at (217) 253-2913 or callers may contact the Sheriff's office anonymously by calling Douglas County Crimestoppers at 1-800-280-8316.
