Gun ban talks boosting business

SPRINGFIELD -- Gun stores can barely keep up with the demand, and it's all thanks to President Obama. He's working to ban assault weapons nationwide. It's part of his plan to strengthen gun control.

But, it looks like even more people are buying now because of it. And that's good news for gun store owners like John Jackson. He says this always seems to happen anytime a proposed ban is introduced.

Jackson says he's seen record sales in his store. Others around the area are experiencing the same thing. And while it's helpful for business right now, it'll likely hurt them later. That's because distributors won't be able to keep up with the demand.

Congress will have the final say on whether to pass the ban.
