DOUGLAS CO. -- A home in Douglas County is a total loss after an early morning fire. Several crews were called to county roads 1350 N. and 1350 E. in Villa Grove around 4:15 this morning. When firefighters arrived it was engulfed in flames. The home was vacant and no one was hurt. The only part of the home left standing was the chimney. Officials believe the home was in process of being remodeled. No word yet on a cause. The fire marshal is investigating. Five departments joined Villa Grove FD in stopping the flames.
