High school updates communication system after shooting

A 14-year-old Freshman opened fire in Normal Community High School in September. No one was hurt. But district leaders had a hard time communicating with first responders and each other using the district's cell phone system.
Now it's buying a two-way radio system. It's the same system most law enforcement agencies use in McLean County. It has 30 channels that will work with every district building. It'll cost the district nearly $250,000.
