New information in neighborhood gun shots

Updated: January 14, 2013
CHAMPAIGN -- There's new information about the series of shots fired in one neighborhood. It happened Sunday, January 6th in the 1400 and 1500 block of Holly Hill Drive.

Police now say some of the shootings may be linked to a fight at Bradley's II. In those cases, shots were fired into several homes. At one, bullets penetrated the wall of a bedroom where a 10-year old was asleep. He was not hurt.

In another case, a man was hit while he was sitting in his living room with friends watching TV. He was taken to the hospital and is doing better. Investigators say the victim works at Bradley's II. So far police have no suspects, but are checking on any possible connections.

Police say a suspicious car was also seen in the area. It was an orange or red Pontiac Grand Am or Bonneville.

If you know anything about these shootings, call Champaign County Crime Stoppers at 373-TIPS. Or text: CCTip plus your information and send it to CRIMES. Or log on. You could get a cash reward.
