URBANA -- Volunteers are spreading some warmth for children in South Africa. It's part of a program called SNUGGLES.

The people who are involved knit or crochet six-inch squares of fabric. Then volunteers take suitcases filled with them to South Africa. They give the squares to day care centers there -- then they're turned into quilts. Organizers said people can help by coming to their events or work on the squares from home. They started meeting at the Bible Education Center in Urbana a few months ago. Volunteers have made about 10,000 squares since then.
