DECATUR -- A neighbor saw two people breaking into a house and jumped into action.

Police say 18-year-old Derrick Brown and another teen were crawling into a window Wednesday morning.

It happened in the 1500 block of East Division Street at around 9:30.

The neighbor called police. When they got there, the 2 took off. The teen was caught but Brown got away.

He was later found and arrested. The neighborhood doesn't know who made that phone call, but say they couldn't be more grateful.

"That was so wonderful. I thank whoever it was. I don't know who it was. I'm glad that people are actually out here taking care of business. Actually looking out for people. They could've seen it and not done anything about it. It could've been just another crime." Michael Cook said.

Brown and the teen are both in custody. Police say brown stole BB guns from the home.
