Pedestrian hit by car, killed

BLOOMINGTON-- A Champaign County man is dead after being hit by a car. It happened last night in the 1300 block of East Grove Street.

Police say the 73-year-old was walking to his car when he was struck. Police say the victim was wearing dark clothing. The driver said he didn't see him until impact.

Police say the drive wasn't speeding. Alcohol also wasn't a factor.

The accident is still under investigation.
