DECATUR-Officals in Macon County are trying to battle this trend. The Macon County Health Department says the teen pregnancy and STD rate are among the highest in the state.

The number of pregnant teens is 13 percent.

That's 3 percent higher than the state average and a-quarter of the state's Chlamydia cases are in Macon County.

This year the Health Department has been using grant money to battle the issue.

They're raising awareness through schools and the Teen Health Coalition.
