URBANA -- A 15 year old was arrested early this morning. Police say he may be behind some of the recent car burglaries.  They've seen a lot of them lately.

Police say burglars are just walking up to parked cars and checking to see if they're unlocked.  If they are, they steal whatever is inside like GPS', loose change or iPods.

Police say they've seen an increase of them recently in South Urbana.  One of the recent victims was Tiphani Hunt's aunt.  Hunt told us that about a month ago, her aunt left her car parked in the driveway, unlocked.  When she got in it the next day, her tablet was gone along with some money.

Police say the recent wave of burglaries weren't just to cars.  People are also targeting open garages.  Lieutenant Seraphin says that is an easy way for someone to get inside your house.

The arrested teen was found at his home early this morning after police were called out to a car burglary on Burkwood Court East.  They say they found items linking him to at least three similar incidents that have happened since December.
