Bullet found in high school parking lot

CHATHAM -- Police were called in after a bullet was found in a high school parking lot.

Around 9:45 this morning a staff member found the unused bullet in the parking lot of Glenwood High School.

The district immediately put the high school and Glenwood Elementary School on soft lockdown.

Local authorities were called in to search the building. They gave the all clear and the lockdown was lifted at 12:15 pm.

It is still unclear how the bullet got there. Classes continue to go on as scheduled.
