Uncertain future for Volition

Updated: January 9, 2013
CHAMPAIGN -- The future of Volition is up in the air as company leaders prepare to auction their assets this month. Their video game development studio is on Main Street in Champaign.

Parent company THQ filed for bankruptcy in December. The Clearlake Capital Group could buy the entire company. But each THQ asset will be auctioned individually at the auction. Buyers would need to beat bids by Clearlake to get the rights.
