Scientists study black beauty from Mars
Updated: January 4, 2013
They're calling the rock Black Beauty.
Its the size of a baseball and landed in the Saharan Dessert.
Tests revealed the rock is more than 2 billion years old and has more water than other meteorites found on earth.
Scientists hope it'll give us a better understanding of the galaxy.
"The earth is like a data point when we study the other planets it helps us learn more about our own," says David leakes,Staerkel Planetarium.
Scientists says Black Beauty would be worth about a million dollars -- but it's scientific value -- priceless.
