How to get geese away from your neighborhood

CHAMPAIGN -- Parks aren't the only places you'll find geese. Many may also see them around homes or apartment complexes, especially if you have man-made lakes or ponds nearby.

Landscaping experts said the goose population has been growing in many neighborhoods but there are a few ways to try to keep them out. You can install a wire about ten inches high. The geese can't go under it or under it. You could also get a dog. Another idea is to set up mannequins. But he said there's not one perfect solution to the issue.
