SPRINGFIELD -- Lawmakers are back at the Capitol for Lame Duck Session, and experts predict they'll vote on some pretty big bills.

Some of them include whether or not to legalize gay marriage. Right now, only civil unions are allowed here in Illinois.

Another, could give driving privileges to illegal immigrants. There's a bill out there that would let them get driver's licenses and car insurance. Supporters say it'll help make the roads safer because they would be held more accountable.

A gun control ban may also be put on the table. Governor Quinn says he wants to see an assault weapons ban and is urging lawmakers to make that happen.

Pensions may come up, but experts say don't count on it. Mainly because lawmakers are still torn over what to do. They expect the reform plan to be dealt with during Legislative Session. That's when the new General Assembly will be sworn into office.

Gun Control ban, because the politicians have no other answer for violence. These long-guns are not use in the multitude of violent acts. They are extremenly difficult to conceal for one. Attached is a link to the FBI crime reports for murders in 2011. Looking at the totals, "rifles" are down on the list to a number of other means. Illinois only shows (1) one murder with a rifle. Seventeen with hands, feet, shoving, etc. Check out the link. http://www.fbi.gov/about-us/cjis/ucr/crime-in-the-u.s/2011/crime-in-the-u.s.-2011/tables/table-20
