CHAMPAIGN -- Neighbors say a party almost turned deadly last night.

Police say it happened in the 1400 block of Kingsway Drive. Neighbors say they were at a house party.

Everyone went outside and an argument broke out. Witnesses say a 16-year-old girl then pulled out a blade and slashed the victim's neck.

We talked to a group of teens who put a towel over the 16 year old boy's throat, to stop the bleeding until help arrived.

"He came in the house with blood all over his chest. I was just shocked. I couldn't believe it." Wesley Winston said.

"He got cut, and there was a lot of blood coming out. A lot. I was scared." Torin Hall said.

Police say the girl was arrested and charged with aggrevated battery. The victim was taken to Carle and is ok.
