CHAMPAIGN -- Champaign County Sheriff's Office is saying goodbye to one of their own.

Retired deputy Dale Reed passed away Tuesday. He was with the Sheriff's office for 18 years. Reed was also a cop with the city of Champaign before that. The Sheriff's office says this was completely unexpected. Reed's visitation services will be Saturday afternoon at Renner-Wikoff in Urbana.
