Residents evacuated in apartment fire

MATTOON -- Dozens of people are back home after their apartment building caught fire.

It started around 4pm Wednesday. The whole building had to be evacuated. The fire was only in one room, but crews say there was smoke on every floor. The complex is for disabled adults. People there say it was scary since many residents had to wait for help before they could leave.

No one was hurt. Crews say it only took a few minutes to put out the blaze.
