CHAMPAIGN -- Many families are spending time together gathered around the dinner table. But that doesn't mean it has to happen at home.

Some of them at around a table at Biaggi's in Champaign. The manager said they were almost completely booked on Christmas Eve. They also kept busy with curbside pick-up and carry-out. He said eating out on the night before Christmas is a tradition for many families.

Biaggi's had more than 30 workers on hand to cook and serve dinner to the families. But they closed the kitchen early and won't be open on Christmas day.
