Storms Scatter Damage Across Central Illinois

severe wxA fast moving storm whipped across central Illinois Thursday. It caused the most damage in Macon and Christian counties. A weak tornado touched down in Elwin, outside Decatur. It knock one house off its foundation and damaged other buildings and the Elwin Methodist Church. In Decatur, downed trees were scattered across town. A family in Taylorville had to pack up and get out after strong winds torn off the roof of their home.
