URBANA -- Eleven people were arrested in Urbana. It's the result of a two month long investigation.

Urbana Police kept a close eye on Lierman Avenue. They heavily patrolled a 4-block area.

These are some of the people who were arrested. Police seized 152 grams of marijuana, 31 grams of heroin and six grams of crack cocaine.

We talked to a woman who's lived in the neighborhood for 12 years. She says the arrests were both a blessing and a curse.

"These are my neighbors relatives that are getting arrested. It's not so simple of an issue when you look at it. Because of these arrests, which I'm not saying aren't warranted. But because of them, people are going to lose their housing. Relatives are in danger of losing their section 8 or HUD voucher," Robin Arbiter said.

The arrests resulted in seven felony and 16 misdeamonor charges. If you have any tips about drug sales, call crimestoppers at (217) 373-TIPS.
